Mindy. If money could be made from watching television, there would not be enough money in the world to pay me for what I've earned.

Dan Harmon: I was in a tiny room in the Glenndale Community College library with these guys learning cellular mitosis for an exam, and I didn’t get it and they didn’t get it, and I was miserable to be showing up for this, and it was 9pm. Then at some point during that evening, an experience happened to me that I bookmarked in my head for the future when I ran out of ideas about robots and stuff. The experience was: Oh my god, I like these people who have nothing to do with my career. I like these people who I would never hang out with if I met them in a bar. I’m bonding with them for some reason other than thinking that it’s going to contribute to me somehow. I’m not a networker, or an upward climber or anything, I just mean like — there’s a certain mode of thinking where you’re just craving out your life and it’s, “I’m gonna be the person I wanna be!” — and that’s only half a life. … This is the other half of your life where you make friends and stuff. I had that for one minute and I’ll never go back. Because I immediately ran to Hollywood and said: “I got an idea for a T.V. show!” And I came here in a limo and threw a bottle at one of those guys. Sucker!
God bless you amazing man.
You are my hero, Dan Harmon
