Why did they never follow up on the fact that they looked so similar? Obviously Giles couldn’t be a direct descendant (unless William wan’t quite what he claimed but that’s doubtful). Surely there could have been something! And just imagine Giles’ head exploding at the news! Or, more likely, how vigorously he’d clean his glasses!
